We stayed for 2 days and were within walking distance of everything. Especially an Aldi. The apartment was spacious and very well supplied. Jake was always quick to reply to our messages and was very friendly and great to deal with. We look forward to staying here again!

Last minute booking due to an emergency and Jake was very responsive and very accommodating. Jake was in frequent communication and it was a smooth transition.

Amazing space for our families needs. We came to Pittsburgh from Toronto for a sporting event my daughter had at the university. Jake’s apartment was the perfect location. We were able to walk to Carnegie Mellon University where she was playing volleyball. Target, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods were a short walk away. Lots of beautiful old homes around and we felt safe walking everywhere and checking out what Pittsburgh has to offer. The apartment is beautiful, everything was well thought out, we had all our needs covered. The bed is super comfortable and the sleep machine was a nice added touch. We slept extremely well as it was quiet and we could not hear anyone in the apartment next door. Parking was easy and accessible. Having a beer store below and coffee shop across the street was super convenient. ALDI is right across the street and behind the complex just a short walk away was Giant Eagle. Great trip, highly recommend staying here if you want a convenient and safe place to stay.

This suite is exactly as described and comfortable. Free parking is a perk and there’s two grocery stores very close by and a cute coffee shop across the street. The hallway has a cat smell but I hardly noticed it inside the apartment.

Apartment is as described in listing. Good location close to great restaurants and parks. Off street parking was a big plus. Jake was very responsive and with clear checkin info. Would definitely stay again.

While we enjoyed the location and Jake was responsive and friendly, there were too many mishaps to give a better rating. The pull out bed was broken and the sheets were stained. The stained sheets were mentioned in a previous review and should have been corrected. The stove had burnt residue that could not be cleaned and created smoke and a fire hazard. The Brita water pitcher had a crack which caused a flood in the refrigerator. The Wi-Fi was pretty much unusable due to extremely slow speeds. If these issues were resolved, we believe this would have been a 5-star review. We appreciated that Jake allowed our dog to stay and the round table made for great family meals.

This stay is cozy, clean, and in a great spot. It’s within a walk or short drive of so many good coffee shops and restaurants, plus not far from Lawrenceville, the Strip District, or downtown. Jake was a great host and made everything very easy from check in to check out.

We stayed there because of surgery for our son at Shadyside Hospital It was 3 minutes by car and a 10 min walk one way Safe surroundings plus free parking Our lab shepherd was allowed to be there and the neighborhood was safe to walk with small park begin cross street coffee place Aldis was a 3 minute walk Bed was very comfortable I would definitely stay again There is no elevator so need stairs as unit is on 2nd floor I am 77 and in good shape but some may find that an obstacle

Jake's place was great for a visit to Pittsburgh. It was comfortable and we had plenty of space. It was nice knowing there would be parking available when we needed it and we were able to walk across the street to Aldi for some groceries.

Perfect location for walking to places in surrounding neighborhoods. Off street parking is a major plus in this area too (note the parking is behind the building so does require a bit of walking). The apartment was bigger than we expected and the bed was extremely comfortable. Generally clean besides some wear and tear. Also convenient to be right above beer distributor and across from a coffee shop. Jake is also a great communicator and responds very quickly. Would stay here again!

As a medical traveler, looks can be deceiving when it comes to finding a place to stay for a while. Jake did a great job in advertising the unit and it was exactly as described. The place was clean and organized on arrival, easy to get in to, and a pleasure to stay at. The bed was extremely comfortable, the living space was great and I was very satisfied with my stay. If anything ever came up, Jake was on top of it in a matter of minutes ready to help. I would absolutely recommend this place to medical travelers (and weekend trips). It is close to a lot of things, including hospitals, grocery stores, and not far from downtown. If you are looking for a place to stay you should definitely consider this spot.

Pictures online are exactly what you get in person. Very cool layout. It could very easily accommodate a small family or a small group of friends. Great location with lots of things to do that are all in walking distance. Convenient that there is a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a Target that are all very close.

The location was perfect, walking distance from all the stores you could need. the stay was cozy and clean, even better in person than the pictures and extremely spacious. Roku tv was a plus! Amazing stay!

Jake’s place was nice and he was super responsive. I will say in my his cleaners could have done a better job with the sheets. There was hair on both pillows and in the bed and the sheets had a stain on them. Jake said they were clean and stain was hard to get and maybe the hair was from the dryer, but for me I would say just buy new sheets if that’s the case and make sure there’s no hair in the bed regardless of where it’s from. Overall everything else was as described.

Great place for a quick trip to Pittsburgh! Had everything needed for a short stay and the bed was very comfortable!! Clean, clean, clean! Half a block away was a small dog friendly community park, grocery store, coffee shop, pharmacy, etc. we had everything at our disposal. It definitely a great place!

Jake was a great host, he was very responsive and answered all my questions. The apartment was very clean, located in a good spot and met our needs for one overnight stay with our dog. Instructions to get in were very clear and felt safe while there. Would definitely stay again!

Interior is great. Washing machine huge plus. We just didn’t feel like the parking and neighborhood was great. It’s above a beer store and there’s lots of broken glass and litter around the building. Plus you have to walk down alley to street entrance —so there is no way to enter unit close to the car which makes unloading/loading more cumbersome. Then the flight of stairs up. But the apartment itself is great and the host and everything else great. We did charge our car nearby as well.

I seriously can’t say enough about Jake himself and his place. You can tell Jake takes pride in his rentals. The place was very clean, cozy, and quiet. The bed and pillows were the best and so comfortable coming from someone with back problems. The location was absolutely perfect. I visit Pittsburgh often and this was hands down our favorite air bnb and best location yet. We found restaurants we hadn’t seen before and didn’t have to keep crossing the bridges through the hustle and bustle. Jake was very responsive and helpful with any questions. The only thing is when we first got there parking was hectic behind the rental because of the beer store. There are only 4 spots. However after reaching out to Jake he gave us other options on where to park that worked out perfect. Unless you get back around the time the store closed then there was no issue at all. We will stay again 100%. I I recommend trying Tupelo southern kitchen (breakfast) and Mad Mex (dinner)The food was amazing.

Jake was a very responsive host. His home met our needs and was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. There were a couple of minor things we encountered but nothing that would prevent us from coming back. There is an Aldi right across the street, which was super convenient. Free off street parking was a nice bonus. Jake provided all of the essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, etc., we just needed to supply whatever food and drink items we wanted. Jake's home met our needs and I appreciated his fast responses and the kindness he showed before, during and after our stay. I would recommend staying here.

It was a 10 out of 10 experience, and I felt right at home! Jake's place is clean, well-equipped, and spacious. I also really like the location as there's lots to do in the area and multiple restaurants to choose from. I'll definitely be booking with Jake whenever I come to Pittsburgh to visit friends and family.

Off street parking is always a bonus in Pittsburgh! Place is clean, although the towels are in need of replacement. I sent them through the wash because they looked questionable. Turns out they were clean just discolored and had what must be fuzzies from a navy blanket? Bed is very comfortable, location is convenient, but is also over a beer store. It is right on a busy street so expect traffic noise. Blackout curtains were nice! A few cosmetic fixes needed but nothing that caused a problem. Bathroom is small. There is plenty of hot water in the shower but it temperature fluctuates constantly. Host is very responsive.

Off-street parking, small park across the street for dog walking and EV charging stations (8 Tesla & one Level 2 with J1772) in the Giant Eagle parking garage around the corner were all a bonus for us. Jake’s place on Baum Boulevard was just what we needed to visit family in Friendship/Bloomfield! If you are planning on being in that area or shadyside, the location is perfect. Very spacious, clean apartment only a 5-10 minute drive to all sorts of restaurants, museums, shops, and entertainment. Even more open and spacious than the photos. Lots of natural light, huge bedroom, very comfortable bed, and nice shower. Coffee shop, Aldi grocery, and Rite Aid across the street. Definitely would stay here again when visiting Pittsburgh.

We had a great time at Jake’s place! It was very spacious and totally comfortable for us and our kids. The house had everything—linens for the pull out couch, a toaster for our morning bagels, and the Yinz coffee across the street was perfect for our stay! We were very comfortable and really appreciated the thoughtful touches! Ice trays in the freezer full of ice! Great curtains that blocked the sun so we could sleep in! A very comfortable desk for working (mostly didn’t work but had we needed to it would have been easy!) plus the parking was super simple. Overall we had a great stay and I would highly recommend both this Airbnb but also Jake as a host. He was super responsive, friendly, we had everything we needed and a lovely stay! We were returning to Pittsburgh to visit with friends. Jake's place was perfectly located for our outings in Shadyside and Highland Park, and easy to get to one of our favorite spots, the Strip District. Check-in was very easy, parking was always available, and had it not been raining, we would have taken advantage of walking much more. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. I love the blue walls! There are plenty of electric and USB sockets, which is so helpful. We would absolutely recommend it and return. For folks who might have a relative in the hospital at UPMC or doing a short stay at Pitt or CMU, it's perfect.

The place is 100 percent exactly as pictured and described. Everything was super clean and modern. It is up a longish 1 story flight of stairs, which was mentioned, but that’s the only tiny minus because it was very easy to get into the building and the apartment. Jake was also very responsive to any questions we had. And the space was very quiet despite being next to a busy-ish road. The location was perfect for us to visit family nearby and attend an event, but it’s also a good location on its own being pretty close to Walnut street/Shadyside and extremely close to two supermarkets. I would not hesitate to book here again.
